The San Francisco 49ers are on a roll, and it's not just because of their recent victories. With a few strategic moves in free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft, they've managed to fill some crucial gaps without sacrificing their overall talent. The team has addressed key issues like wide receiver and defensive line, adding players like Mike Evans, Christian Kirk, and De'Zhaun Stribling for the former, and Osa Odighizuwa, Romello Height, and Gracen Halton for the latter. But there's still room for improvement, and the 49ers are keeping an eye on the remaining free agents. ESPN's Matt Bowen has identified some top free agents who could be a perfect fit for San Francisco, and I couldn't agree more. Bowen suggests that the 49ers should consider veteran guard Kevin Zeitler, who has a physical inside presence and the movement ability to pull on gap schemes, fitting right into Kyle Shanahan's system. Zeitler's strong base in protection, ranking 37th out of 65 qualifying guards in pass block win rate last season, would be a welcome upgrade to the interior of San Francisco's O-line. However, I think the 49ers should also consider defensive end Joey Bosa, who has been healthier in recent years and would provide a much-needed pass-rushing edge. Bowen highlights Bosa's speed-to-power ability and his high energy, which would be a great addition to a 49ers' pass rush that ranked last in pressure rate and total sacks in 2025. But, I must say, I'm a bit torn. While these additions would certainly strengthen the team, they go against the 49ers' recent efforts to stay younger. Nevertheless, in an offseason where the 49ers have gotten stronger, it might be time to put the finishing touches on this roster and give themselves the best chance to compete for a Super Bowl in 2026. Personally, I think the 49ers should consider both Zeitler and Bosa, but they should also be mindful of the team's long-term goals. The 49ers have a great opportunity to build a strong foundation for the future, and they should take advantage of it. What do you think? Do you agree with Bowen's suggestions, or do you have other ideas for improving the roster?
